SEIKO Electro luminescent lamp - How it works:

An electro luminescent lamp is constructed in a manner to a capacitor - two conducting surfaces with a dielectric in between. The luminescent material is commonly dispersed within the dielectric, which may be in any location in the path of the electrostatic field. Usually one electrode is translucent, but grids of various sorts have been used.

SEIKO uses an advanced micro encapsulation technique based on a proprietary screen-printing process.

Construction

Options:

Depending on the specific requirements, SEIKO offer various types of EL sheets, some Examples:

  • Thickness of PET Film is adjustable acc. to application
  • White colour or colour coating can be printed on PET film
  • Multi color Luminescent Layer
  • Adhesive Layer (tape or Anisotrophic glue)
  • Noise reduction Layer (phone application)
  • Protection layer if EL is combined with Membrane Switch
